Bhagsunag waterfall,” also known as “Bhagsu falls,” is located in Bhagsu village, McLeodganj. It is one of the major tourist attractions in McLeodganj(Dharamshala).

The distance of the Bhagsunag waterfall from McLeodganj is 2 km and 7 km from Dharamshala.

It’s all about the journey, not the destination,” perfectly describes this place. Why am I saying so?

Bhagsunag Waterfall

Because you might get disappointed after reaching the waterfall as it’s not so huge, it’s a mid-size waterfall cascading down from the height of 30 feet, but what sets apart this waterfall is the hike which leads to the waterfall and the surroundings of it.

You have to hike a km or so to reach the waterfall. It’s quite steep but nothing to worry as paved stone staircases are made, which makes it a bit easier to climb.

The views along the way are awe-inspiring. Snow-capped mountains and lush greenery make the way picturesque. You’ll inevitably end up taking a lot of photographs, and there’s a strong possibility that you’ll also fall short of breath, so take a break and have some Maggi with chai/coffee. There are a lot of eateries along the trail for that.

Bhagsu fall is a perfect place to spend some time in solitude or with family or friends in the lap of nature with scenic views upfront and soothing burble of flowing water in the background. Sit on a rock nearby the waterfall and soak in the beauty of nature.
