Don’t we do this? We’ve started connecting through Instagram. Now it’s not like “Hey! can I have your number?.” Personally, I find it a bit uncomfortable sharing my number in the first meeting itself. It’s also awkward to ask(at least for me).

Are you on social media? I guess you’re. Which one is your favorite? 90% chance is its Instagram. We all love Instagram. It’s cool!

Let me share my first instinct with Instagram,  for the first time when I installed Instagram, and I was like what kind of app is this? Just photos only. I’m not interested in seeing anybody photos neither in showing mine. Huh! What a useless app. Guess what; I uninstalled it after some time.

Today inner me wants to be famous on Instagram. I’m sure you also want to be. In case you’re already, share some tips in the comment section. Sharing is caring!

My personal opinion about social media :

We spend so much time on these platforms, mainly on Facebook and Instagram. We don’t realize it, but it’s a hell lot of time.

Like scrolling is the only thing we’re left with to pass time hence whenever we get time, even a little bit of time, what do we do? We simply pull out our phone from pocket and start scrolling.

First thing in the morning after waking up, while in commute, in washroom what do we do? We check our phones only, and in phones, mostly social media.

“scrolling is the new smoking.”

The thing is you can use it effectively. I mean if you’re spending so much time on it, then what’s the ROI of your time? Think about it?

I can’t tell you about how do you use it?, but I tell you how I use it. I don’t follow anybody who isn’t adding any sort of value to me. For e.g. – I don’t follow any actors, actress accounts except very few (favorites).  Instead, I follow their stylist account as I get to know about fashion sense from their accounts.

At the end of the day, all the information we’re consuming is affecting our way of thinking, mental health. So it’s better to use it consciously, wisely and get influenced for good.

So here are my all-time favorite Indian Instagram travel accounts which are really adding value to this community, influencing our lives for good. These guys are real influencers, not so-called Instagram influencers who just keep bombarding you with sponsored posts, products every other day.

Make sure you follow them. Trust me they are worth following.

1. SHIVYA NATH (@shivya)

A huge inspiration for every Indian travel blogger. She describes herself as “just a girl who travels”.  

She believes in slow and sustainable travel, embracing local ways of life, spending time with indigenous communities, exploring places off the beaten path, and minimizing her environmental impact.

If I have to define what a real influencer is like, I’ll just simply take her name. I really wish to see more influencers like her, then certainly this world will be so much better place.

Their purpose of running ‘THE DOI HOST‘ is to support the livelihoods of people from the mountains by collaborating with them to make tourism a benefit for the locals of the region.

His bio reads a curious traveler, writer, and photographer living in Himachal, India (McLeodganj). So you know what to expect from his account. Everything about Himachal Pradesh, beautiful photos with beautiful captions. Damn! you gotta read the captions under his posts, it’s so relatable, and it makes you feel like he wrote exactly what you wanted to say or hear it from somebody.

I discovered her from explore section of Instagram. Firstly I ignored because I thought it must be some fitness model account but then again after some time her pictures were popping up in my explore section. So I just clicked and read the caption and since then, reading all her captions and following her travel recommendations.
